With Spring Break having come and gone. Do you find your hair is just not quite what it was a few weeks ago? Has the weather changing continually stressed out your hair and you are just not sure what products to use, to get your hair restored to the silky smooth run your fingers through your hair all day touch?
“I personally love knowing that my hair is soft and smooth. I always know when the seasons are changing in Utah because my hair will start to dry out and my clients will mention when they come in for their appointment that their hair seems more dry and that they are using more conditioner then they feel they should be. With my natural curl I use a deep conditioner once a week to keep my hair feeling soft. The deep conditioner I love using is Biolage Aqua Immersion Crème Masque. It only needs to be left on for about 3 to 5 minutes and with my crazy busy schedule that is just enough time for me in the mornings.

Did you travel out of Utah to a place where the humidity made you unable to tame your hair?
“Yes I have and let me tell you it is not fun trying to get your hair to work when you’re on vacation. How I avoid disasters like humidity taking over my hair is I make sure I bring Matrix Amplify Volume Hairspray. It is used for humidity and I like my hair to hold its volume and shape and this is the product for it. I also like to bring Matrix Sleek shampoo and conditioner. If you have curl in your hair it helps tame it down if you want more of the smooth look in a humidity atmosphere.
Another way to tame your locks in challenging weather is to use Velcro rollers to set your hair. I personally prefer applying Matrix’s Design Pulse Loosely Defined in my hair and Matrix’s Vavoom Take Me Higher on my roots before blow drying. After my hair is about 80% dry. I place the biggest Velcro rollers I can find to get a fuller look. I then let my hair dry completely take my rollers out flip my head upside down and run my fingers thru my hair. I then backcomb my hair but otherwise I just spray with Matrix Total Results Proforma hairspray.”
